- Sponsor www.PIRC-CVA.info – Pet Information & Referral Center for Central Virginia - the most extensive and complete online pet information resource for the Central Virginia region. A phone Help Line for those keeping companion animals in Central Virginia is also available.
- Companion Animal Management Research Initiative - This research project is aimed at gathering information regarding animal management services and practices in Central Virginia counties for the purpose of compiling and publishing profiles for each county - thus facilitating comparison of animal management practices and outcomes, highlighting effective practices, and providing a guideline for ongoing development.
- C.A.R.E. - Companion Animal Relief Effort – currently in development, this program, based on the HSUS Pets for Life program, will promote responsible pet ownership and provide support to help owners overcome challenges that otherwise might lead them to surrender or abandon an animal.
